Freeup free plan - low balance message

Everytime I place a call, it plays 'your balance is low....' message before that call is placed. Do you also hear this message? Is there any way to avoid it?

I don't get that on my 2 lines. The call just goes straight through.

That's surprising. I am in touch with csr and they put in 5cents and still it continues. I could put more money in there just to avoid that message but there is no option to do that online.

Some folks have reported that adding a valid credit card as default payment removes the message. If you already have one listed, you're one of the people for whom that is not a fix.
The tiny balance has fixed it for some folks, too- but not for all.

I've never heard the message: I have both a credit card on file, and an account balance from the rewards program days.

You still have Rewards balance? That disappeared from all my accounts several months ago when they got rid of it.

On my line, the rewards balance transferred to a general account balance. (Sorry my previous post was not clear.) This seemed to be the standard procedure, and did follow the FreeUP notice of what would happen when they ended the rewards program.

I also have a credit card on file (virtual number) with autopay enabled and a 5cent balance. But now it's saying you 5cents instead of $0. I will change the card to an actual card and see if it goes away.

That message went away once I replaced virtual card with actual credit card. Thanks everyone for your help!

I still have a van on my freeup account. The message went away after customer service added 25 or 50˘ to the acct balance.
