    Motorola E4 Shuts Off Spontaneoulsy

On occasion, when my Motorola E4 is not being used, it shuts off on its own. Has anyone else had this experience? If yes, do you know of any fixes? Thanks.

    Few questions to better help.

Is this a new issue ? Any recent application or system updates ? Any recent damage to the phone ? Is the screen going black and when you press a key, does it light up ? Do you have to press the power button to get it to work again ? How long have you had the device ?
Don't make me turn this car around.....

That sounds like a failing phone. You could have evaluated at a phone repair location to see if it might be a cheap fix

When you press the power switch does it go through a boot process, or does the screen just light?

One old trick is to remove the battery with the phone on. Wait for a few minutes, then replace the battery and restart. This forces a partial reset without any data loss.

Worst case is Factory Data reset which will will remove everything you put on the phone. First make sure your account data is backed up on the Google server. Other things like photos will have to be saved some other way. Stored on Google Drive or to a computer. When you put the Google account back in after reset, it should download the data.

Thanks. I'll give the battery removal and replace a try.
