    LG Fiesta2 volume problem

My LG Fiesta2 loses volume when I'm on a call ( has happened twice ) and I wonder what could be the problem. Volume normal to start then suddenly hardly any sound. Battery seems strong (today at 83% when I had the problem) and not running down faster than usual.

What happens if you do something loud, like speakerphone or check out ringtones?

Were the two calls where this happened to different phone #s?

You should try a number of calls to different #s to get a bigger sample.

Call an automated number, like my airport weather report 785-234-1591, which has a steady volume, and switch between the normal speaker, speaker phone, earphones, headsets... to see if you can narrow the problem down to hardware or connection.

    Tested on the weather report

headphones what I'd call a normal volume
    speaker is loud
but just listening very very quiet, I had my husband (he has good ears) check and he also found the volume vre
    y low.

No new apps, all volumes I can find to adjust are at max.

If the volume is low (on all calls with different people) but doesn't fluctuate, the speaker might have a problem. If the volume is loud at the beginning of a call then gradually goes down, I have no ideas.

The volume fails almost immediately, so there is either a problem with the call volume driver or the call volume hardware.

You know how it is when you get old.

Maybe a factory reset would help.

Have had it about 2 years

On todays test using phone on speaker very loud, headphones loud but not unconfortable; also on the test call volume consistantly low using "ear".

    Will try factory reset.

    Thanks all.

You may already know this, but just to be safe, remember to back up anything on the phone's internal memory before the reset. I hope it goes smoothly and that it fixes the volume issue!

When I've done resets, I send anything I can to many different places. SD card, Google, even Transfer Wizard to another phone. I've even sent things to my computer. You just never know.

I have been following suggestions and as of today (Wed) seems to be an outgoing call problem.

Never thought I'd appreciate a spam call but got one (my SS number is blocked) But the good news, I could hear clearly.

Re tested the weather report and could hardly hear, switch to speaker and it's loud.

Makes me think it's the phone but will try Tracfone.

PS THANK YOU ALL FOR THE SUGGESTIONS (incase my outgoing messages are too quiet)
