Help with account number for porting out

sorry I know this topic has been covered but my account number was rejected by Trac Fone. The best info I could find was to use the last 15 digits of my BYOP SIM card, which is:

    VW06b

I used xxxxxx as the account number for porting out and Trac Fone rejected that. What should I use?

    THANKS

You should edit your post and mask out part of the IMEI. Never post your phone's full IMEI or SIM number publicly. They can be used by unscrupulous people to activate their SIM or steal your balance/phone number. Those full numbers are enough to prove ownership of the phone to a TF rep.

    SOLVED:

The info on the Web was wrong. Even though mine is a BYOP, the correct account number was the phone IMEI, not the SIM card digits. Also, fyi it was necessary for me to call TracFone and set up a 4 digit security PIN and use that in order for the port to go through

The IMEI number would be used for the account if it was a VZW BYOP. A GSM BYOP would use the SIM number, as the IMEI was never registered. The PIN is something that only happened a couple of years ago, and many don't know what their's is. I had to guess on the last activation and they took it. It used to be any 4 digits.
