Well, we need to get Serial Port, or martin_001, or frail or somebody to check out his account and see what the deal is. That or he should make a new one to get in then fix it or rename it so he can access old posts and stats and such.
Yes we definitely need to have rfranzq back!!

Hopefully one of the mods can get this happening!

He was and still is a good guy and always had good information.

Hopefully he will be able to get the mods to let him back in.

What's the process for that? Just buy SIM on eBay and use T-Mobile support to transfer? Is there a chat? I haven't used T-Mobile support in probably 10 years.

    It's been a while.

    Call 611 from your phone.
Hopefully you can get it done from your phone.

I got a few T-Mobile SIM cards free from the cell phone kiosk at Costco but that is a your mileage may vary.

I have seen T-Mobile SIM cards pretty inexpensive on eBay.

Has anyone transferred a Legacy PayGo account to an iPhone eSIM?

    Well the party is over.

I was on one of my marathon calls this afternoon with my friend.
We talked about a half hour and then the call was disconnected.
I called back and got a recording saying that your wireless carrier doesn't allow calls to that number.
I tried a few more times but it would not connect.

I cracked out my Legacy Gold Rewards line and I called the $3 a month line and the recording said something like that number cannot receive calls.

So called my friend back and we yapped for another hour.
The Legacy Gold line is deducting minutes as expected.

The party was fun while it lasted.

I just called customer service to switch to another SIM. Went very smoothly, everything works.

Called 611 today and asked them to reset the per minute rate to 10˘ from 29˘ on my Legacy PAYGO account. The CS rep talked to his manager who approved it without any problem.

@ cobo: Wow, that's great! I assume this was the first and only time you've done this?

The way it had worked when they first offered to do this a couple years ago was, they convert and then your balance reflects the corresponding mathematically correct number of minutes. But then, from that point, any refill PINs added still reflect their original Legacy value, which then causes the per minute to begin a slow slide off $0.10. The conversion doesn't continue. One time deal, at least it was for me.

Yes it was the first and only time I've asked to have the decrement reset to 10˘.

Back in March I forgot to add money to the same account by the expiration date and did so a couple of days late. It took more effort to persuade them to restore the balance of $155.37.

Back in 2017 I got them to transfer a large balance from another SIM while keeping the account on that other SIM open so I could port the phone number to Tello.
