Overpriced? For the specs they were $200 less than comparable stuff from LG or Samsung. And Verizon compatible which the likes of One Plus don't usually have.

It's compatible with all US carriers. My wife has one on Total Wireless (Verizon)

TF's should be too once it's unlocked.

I was talking about the Power/Optimo Maxx.

It was $250 retail March 2018 when released.

TF doesn't have a versions of the $300 G7 (no extra name) and the G7 Plus wasn't released in the US at all.

Sure. And now the ST Optimo maxx is $130 if I can get it to work on TF. Coming wednesday.

The Backup is still the Motorola unlocked GSM G7 power, for $184. If I am reading the specs correctly, it is basically very close to the G7 Optimo Maxx?

$250 list, on sale for $184

All the US unlocked G7 Power devices are all carrier, not just GSM. They all have CDMA radios.

Other country/region versions are "GSM" only (no CDMA) but not the US models.

It should be identical. I don't see Motorola making a special version for TF.

What specs do you see as different?

I did check and it's a separate channel for software updates.

Maybe to prevent the updates from messing with the proprietary Tracfone programming?

Actually T-Mobile released the G7 Plus. They used a different name for it, the Revvlry+. It has almost all the same specs with the addition of B71. I'm sure some of the slight differences were to make it look like a different phone. But if you're a motoholic there's no fooling ya.

I hope that's correct this time around. When the E5 Plus came out it wasn't. I've unlocked 5 of these from Metro and none do CDMA. Everything I've read online says it should work like the unlocked factory version but they are GSM only.

Well, with a different software channel they could have different drivers/modem partition, or even different radio setting to not enable some bands/options.

But since the TF G7s have CDMA enabled I'm more inclined to think it's the same setup.

    Only time will tell though.

As for the TMO REVVLRY+, I didn't hear about it before. Though it's nott a big step up from the G7 to the G7+ (nothing like the G5 to G5+ was)

I'm on Verizon (TW) so I don't track incompatible devices much.

I think the G7 should have just been LTE only.

These are all international models. If you buy one of these it wont have cdma and it might be missing some if not most of the us bands.

Yep, those international models have no low band support in the US & usually lack a warranty as well.

Really the only thing keeping manufacturers from eliminating cdma radios in phones in the US market is Sprint. Verizon in reality will be shutting it down soon enough.

People also have to be really careful buying phones off ebay and amazon. I've seen phones labeled 'works with AT&T and Tmobile' with no actual bands listed and when tracking down the bands for the specific model number (if they even list the model number not just the name of the phone) found only one or two US bands. I also see numerous discrepancies between websites listings for a model numbers bands and bands listed on sites where these out of region phones are sold. Buyer beware.

Plus any phone sold out of the region it was released for will have no warranty.

There are at least 8 different versions of the Moto G7 Power. Note that in one instance the model number is the same but the default storage of 32gb or 64gb comes with different bands because the same model with different storage is sold in two markets.

Of course the 04 appears into be the same whether retail unlocked or the Cricket model, and I expect the TF version also the same. Just different included apps. I would be wary of the Cricket model being in Verizon's whitelist though.

On that amazon listing look at the difference in bands between the two listings for 32gb and 64gb. The 32gb from what I can see is sold in Mexico and has bands for AT&T and Tmobile for the most part but the 64gb model has just 2,4 & 5 not what someone would want for any US carrier for that money.
