    Hotspot MAIN/AUX External Antenna Question

If I am connecting a pole mounted yagi directional antenna to the MAIN (TX/RX) LTE antenna port to use a hotspot device in an area that likely has no signal that can be picked up by attaching the included omni external antenna onto the device, should I choose the option to disable the the AUX (RX Only) LTE antenna port?

Or is there some advantage to connecting one of the included small omni antennas to the AUX port?
(i.e. To measure local noise levels, if any even do exist, despite the fact that what it will see will be very different than the main port?)

This is in a rural environment with extremely fringe coverage from any local provider that I will be visiting next year.

You have to keep in mind the huge signal losses in normal coax at frequencies around 2 GHz. With the small diameter stuff (e.g. RG174) more than 10 feet and you've given up most of the gain from the antenna.

This is going to be used to connect to a tower on 700MHz so the loss shouldn't be as high, but the cable length will definitely be over 10ft as the pole will have to reach fairly high up to try and counteract the trees and hills in the area.
