Ok cool. I think they won 50 MHz here but I'm not 100% sure.

Verizon 4G LTE Speed Test Results: Round 2

It looks like Verizon finally fixed/increased the backhaul to a site that has had issues for years...

Last month (prior months were similar to this, with the download being much slower than the upload):

The fastest result this week (2 other tests near the same time/location < 1/4 mile from the site were 52 and 89 Mbps):

Verizon network is good, the download speeds really depend on your location, and your plan etc., even with Visible I can get 120 down and 20 up

This tower right in the middle of town is still B13 only, so capacity is an issue even for a small town.

Las Vegas North Premium Outlets test below has been the fastest I’ve found along the strip area this week. Other tests have been very usable, with some sites showing 10+10+10+10 CA.

They seemed to really fix Las Vegas congestion given their 100 MHz total spectrum holdings for LTE. It must be a combo of density/mmW to even out load

I haven’t even seen B48 yet - that would add another potential 60 MHz of CA. The density of the small cells helps, but I’d guess there’s currently about 1/2 of the pre-COVID-19 people along the streets and in the hotels.

I’ve gotten word from a credible source they’ve started to deploy CBRS on some macro sites in Las Vegas. They won 30-40 MHz in that particular area for the PAL licenses.

Verizon CBRS in Pittsburgh on walnut street in Shadyside. Low upload tests are from rivers casino DAS running 13+4+2+5. Honestly I hope they keep these speeds up. The new macro on the Southside was just approved and more mmwave nodes going up. I’m excited to see what comes.
