Sim Swap, Easy or a Chore? Net10

If I have an active Net10 account using T-mobile, can I just sim-swap to a Metro PCS unlocked GSM phone like the Stylo 4? Or is there such a thing as a BYOP sim, that I will need? Or simply do I contact Customer Care by chat or phone and provide the new IMEI?

Help with proper procedure. The simple Sim Swap did not seem to work.

I have to admit, I do not know. It may even be an original Net10 phone (friend in another city-I supplied the LG Stylo 4 unlocked that does not seem to connect). I will have a look at the network settings (I never looked but it went to Cricket with one of their sims automatically). Thanks

Does the phone in the Net10 account work? If so, it's SIM should work in the Stylo 4 considering that a Cricket SIM did.
You should be able to make a service transfer to the Stylo 4 using a BYOP SIM, assuming it is truly unlocked.
