If i root a device TO RECOVER DELETED DATA, will it overwrite the data??

I have a galaxy j1 with marshmallow . I need to recover deleted audio files.
I don't mind rooting it IF the root WON'T make the data unrecoverable.

Will the files get overwritten by installing data recovery apps ?

As I know, there is no need to root galaxy j1 to recover deleted audio files. But if you still worry about that, you can take backup of your galaxy j1.You can use Coolmuster Android Assistant. With its help, you can easily transfer all data on galaxy j1 to computer for backup with one-click.
