    A50 - Software Glitch

Subject: Transferring Contacts from Phone to SIM Card.

I prefer to have my Contacts information stored on my SIM Card. And no, I do not want them all stored on some cloud (Google, etc).

This is how it is done and the software glitch I came across.

On the Contacts screen, tap the three horizontal bars on the left (red circle).

Doing the above step will open up this screen. Tap "Manage Contacts".

Bingo! All Phone Contacts are now stored on my SIM Card. Note when doing so, a message comes up and states that some features will be lost. Understandable since the SIM card can only store one number (and not three I may have on my Phone Contacts).

This is where the problem lies.

I go back to my Contacts on my Phone (they are still there) and the first number that I had listed as "Work" is now listed as "Mobile". OK, no sweat, I'll tap Edit and change it, except it is listed as Work and no matter how I list it, it shows up as Mobile on the Contacts screen.

    Next issue.

So I go to the SIM card screen and hit Delete All (something like that). You would think that only my contacts on my SIM Card screen would be deleted. Wrong, it deleted all Phone and SIM Card Contacts.
    I don't yap/text and drive,
    Alex

Oh and by the way, I checked for an update for Contacts. It came back and stated "Latest Version is already installed". V 10.1.15.4
