The issues with 5G chips currently out are vast and I can see why Apple decides not to put them in the new iPhones coming out next week. The current 5G chip out by Qualcomm does NOT cover many bands, overheating issues has been reported by some Samsung galaxy 5g owners, and 5G is no where near widespread at the moment . It’s only available in 6 major cities in the US and probably won’t be widespread till 2021. The only phone T-Mobile sells currently as of today that supports 5G is the Samsung Galaxy 10 5G.
of you think they look great that's fine but for ever person who says they look great there's some one who says they are ugly, That screen is sad i still have my xs Max I bee saving it as in trade in for next year's iPhone however this year nothing can top the Note 10 plus, To be iPhone started going down hill with Steve kicked the can only an hard core apple user would say the new iPhone looks good, Hell I think the regular iPhone is the better buy to each his own.

Apple just improved their OLED screen on their iPhone 11 PRO and Pro Max. The new iPhones the Pro line has now got 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio vs last years XS and XS max that have a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.

For anyone who cares, Apple is now giving the Vet discount on the new models. I just ordered a 256Gb Pro Max for $1124 (10% discount). Delivery is scheduled for Oct. 8-15th so far.

Update: I checked the istocknow.com app and it was showing one of my home area Apple Stores has my desired Pro Max 256Gb in stock, so I was able to place an in store pick up order for it. The chat function told me that the current policy was to hold items for 14 days before returning to stock. It used to be just 24 hours the last time I checked and I don’t get home until late Saturday night. So Sunday I get my new toy. I also still got the Military Discount on the Sim Free model.

I like my Pro Max a little better than my Xr from last year. The screen is noticeably brighter, especially outdoors or in a brightly lit area. I don't see any difference in clarity, even though the pixel density is much higher on the Pro Max. All in All, a minor upgrade for me, but I get a new iPhone every year and probably will in the future also. My wife is still very happy with her Xr, but we just got her that in May with the Costco rebate deal, so basically it was free with a trade in.

The front and rear camera are improved with the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max have 12 mega pixel front camera vs 7 mega pixel front camera on the iPhone XS and iPhone XS MAX. The iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 PRO MAX have 3 rear cameras vs 2 rear cameras in iPhone XS and XS Max. You can read the up on the specs for more details on the Front and Rear cameras.

iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro MAX has water resistance maximum depth of 4 meters up to 30 minutes
iPhone XS and iPhone XS MAX has water resistance maximum depth of 2 meters up to 30 minutes

Apple says Face ID is faster on the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max vs on the iPhone XS and XS MAX

iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro MAX will have 802.11ax Wi‑Fi 6 vs 802.11ac Wi-fi 5 on the iPhone XS and XS MAX

iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro MAX has an Ultra Wideband chip for spatial awareness. Ultra-wideband is a short-range, low-power radio technology that is able to provide more precise indoor positioning than Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi

Yes there is Dolby Atmos on the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro MAX. On the iPhone XS and XS MAX there was NO Dolby Atmos.

What Dolby says is that with Dolby Atmos on mobile phones “you’ll notice louder, clearer sound without speaker distortion or rattle for softer sounds like piano notes and quiet voices and for louder, more intense sounds like action movie explosions. Dialogue is automatically enhanced, volume is evened out, and you’ll hear virtualized, immersive audio for all your content.”

4 hours more battery life iPhone (Pro) and 5 hours longer battery life iPhone (Pro Max) than last year's models iPhone XS and XS Max.

I've been playing with the Max Pro camera in Night Mode. There is no way to accurately describe how well this functions, but if you get a chance to see it in action you'll be amazed. I have a variety of night vision optics including 2 Gen 3 devices, and it is approaching the capability of dedicated equipment. Anyone who is familiar with the SiOnys Aurora camera should know how expensive and difficult it is to capture night images. The Pro Max grabs greater detail & resolution, but unfortunately is not able to utilize infrared wavelength illumination. For the visible spectrum though, it's incredible and will be very useful compared to every other consumer camera I've seen.

While I do like the camera on my iPhone 11, I feel as if Apple is just basically catching up with the Pixel 3 XL at this point.. I don’t notice any revolutionary features, and am contemplating returning it and waiting to see what Google brings to the table this year.

You should have went for the 11 Pro or 11 Pro Max and not the regular 11. The regular iphone 11 only has 2 rear cameras, the screen is an LCD instead of OLED, the battery life gives you only 1 hour more than the XR from last year, and you only get 2x2 mimo. The regular iPhone 11 only has water resistance maximum depth of 2 meters up to 30 minutes. Which is less than the maximum 4 meters of water resistance for 30 minutes on the 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max,

iPhone 11 Pro blew away the competition in terms of camera quality.

I don't get how apple can still get away slapping a sub 720P screen in the Iphone 11. you cant even watch 1080p content on that phone.

I think it's their idea of a "Cheap" iPhone.

They quit being just phones when they started getting decent cameras and great apps, maps, GPS, etc. They are essentially pocket computers, thus the cost.

Edited to add: I took some photos with the Night Mode of the sky and was pleasantly surprised to see that the Pro Max will actually record the Andromeda Galaxy faintly. It is just slightly less visible that using my SiOnyx Aurora, but that only captures 720p images, and has a 1" sensor especially designed for night vision. This ability may be lost on those not familiar with astronomical objects, but it is another galaxy over 2 million light years away, and the only one visible to the naked eye. (Barely)

It’s not 720p, and most certainly not “sub-720p” it’s 828p. If I said it had 400ppi instead of 326 ppi, you’d say that’s wrong right? It’s right between 720 and 1080p. But none of that matters, iPhone XR was the best selling phone last year. Who wants to bet what it’ll be this year?
