Anyone here w. a Pixel who has upgraded to ver. 10? (Android OS)

I am in Europe for another week and didn't want to take chance of something going wrong.
Would like to hear comments. It is now only available to Pixel owners, I believe.
GoogleVoice (domestic call forwarding and cheap intl. calls) Use GV to give us a "home" number in a 2nd location
8 T-Mobile lines - Unlimited talk and text, data. TM One plan. Get $10/mo. rebate on 7 lines for low data use. Net cost about $185-190/mo. We haven't had a landline in more than 17 years.

That would be a risk vs. reward decision.
Everything I have read screams of far too many issues to risk moving off of 9.0 for the 10 preview.
That's just my opinion, I favor stability over experimental, but YMMV.

It’s no longer a preview, it’s rolling out to devices as a full release.

That said, your YMMV still applies as there are still quirks. But upgrading to major versions does that anyway, regardless of platform.

I've got a Pixel 3. No problem except that the Samsung gear wear app connecting to the gear S3 watch is pretty much disabled.

I wouldn’t do any major upgrades outside the U.S. Any geographic restrictions could brick your phone until you return to the U.S.

I have Android Q on the OG Pixel XL. It’s very nice but there aren’t any new features that can’t features that can’t wait a week.

I upgraded my Pixel 3aXL today with no issues. I'm surprised at how quickly it updated.

Mike, do you use T-Mobile's GoGo Wifi perk on any of the airlines involved with this trip ? I am wondering specifically if they have it with British Airways.

Took Norwegian (No comments about using CHEAP airline). From OAK to OSL. OSL back to FLL (Ftl Lauderdale). Didn't pay for high speed wifi. Seems to me I used Jet Blue's wifi a year ago to make a DUO (video) call to wife while in air. I think regular wifi calling is blocked.

I guess I'm trying to find out if you used T-Mobile's free Wi-Fi perk when you were flying recently? But I'm not sure from what you wrote If you simply chose not to pay for something, or got something for free.

I wonder if Wi-Fi calling blocking could be gotten around by using a VPN?

I'm not sure if this helps, but T-Mo's free WiFi is only on "Gogo Inflight"-powered flights. Back in the early days of WiFi on planes, Gogo seemed to be the most common provider. These days it seems less popular. T-Mo's T&C's also says it's limited to US-based airlines, automatically excluding airlines discussed like British Airways or Norwegian. Currently, the T-Mo website only shows the logos of Alaska Air, American, and Delta on the page pimping the Gogo feature.

Since T-Mo starting offering the perk a few years ago, only two of the WiFi enabled flights I've been on were eligible for the perk. (Both were American Airlines flights, IIRC. I typically fly United, and Delta, and while some of their planes use Gogo, not all do.)
