I tend to agree. There is NO reason why 15MHz block (or at least the 10MHz that _was_ in use) can't be deployed on LTE until they push 5G on 600MHz.
    - Current 600MHz is piecemeal right now in many areas, and 'could' help not so much with coverage (B12 exists) but capacity.
    - If the 5G gear won't be turned on for another year - why not deploy what Neville and John have been jumping up and down about ?

If T-Mobile wanted to deploy 15x15 in its areas... it could.
They're playing the game - and only deploying 'as needed', and will push 5G when it's available.
I suspect that they don't want to deploy it ... to pull it all back once people are 'used to it' on LTE, and it will be enticement to get a 5G device... which on 600MHz may be a ways away.

    15x15 vs. 5x5 is a pretty big leap - especially with QAM256.

    On B12, with 5MHz only, I hit 42Mbps.
    With 20MHz of B4, I've hit +150Mbps.
    With 20MHz of B4 and 10MHz of B2, I've hit over 220Mbps.
    AT&T... your world, throttled.

Any updates as to when Raleigh will get band 71? it's been about two months now since the TV stations have moved.

Looking on CellMapper, it appears that they have a couple of sites up and running in the general area, out to the west.

T-mobile moved 2 stations early in my area last year. The 2nd one moved in August 1st 2018 it was a couple of months at least before anyone got 600 MHz and my town got it about 4-6 months later. Some areas just now getting 600 more than a year later.

My town has had it for at least a year and a half. But it's only 5mhz.

I have no idea how much of the 15X15 T-Mobile bought is actually deployed. You'd think with 600 MHz 5G coming next month they'd want to have it all deployed.

I guess you're on the northern part because Southern NJ as 15X15. A few lucky places like Colorado Springs have 25X25.

I’m really curious about band 71 in NJ. Over the summer I was traveling down the jersey shore to Atlantic City and not once did I ever encounter band 71. It was mostly all band 66. There are still a lot of places in central and northern NJ that have no service or Edge. I can’t see how T-Mobile is going to have 5G cover 200 million people next month when I can get service in some towns. Considering NJ is the most densely populated state in the nation.

I am in total agreement with you. I live in Central New Jersey I guess the town I live in with T-Mobile has good sell site density. They kidding themselves that they think they have a great network if they still have lots of places with no service.
