Really these strand mounted small cells are prefect for CBRS/C Band and Sprints band 41 spectrum. The cost must be minimal compared to towers - no zoning issues and it puts the signal right there.

If the Tmobile merger is denied by Courts Cable co's should pony up proportionally with Sprint and start installing these everywhere.

Does anyone in Altice areas see these types of small cells set up on strand?

So it's been a LONG time since I posted on HoFo. Still rocking Sprint and my SERO deal after all these years. Just signed up for Altice to test on my old Sprint iPhone 6s plus. I'm on the $30 plan because my cable is FiOS.

Since I have no usable cell signal on any carrier indoors at both home and work, WiFi calling is a MAJOR requirement. This capability on MVNO's is pretty spotty with restrictions. WiFi calling on Altice would seem to work with any major carrier handset as long as it's an approved device.

My stepdaughter and her husband both ported their AT&T numbers into new Samsung phones that came from Altice. So far so good for them.

I chose to get a random number when ordering and figured I would port in later.
Now I'm told the only way to port is during order process...argh.
I got it when it was 20.00 per month. Any idea what to do?
Crazy that they can't port in at anytime.

This is the best way to deal with it. At some point they will have to allow porting in and you'll be able to use the number in the meantime.

looks like the $20/mo promo is back until June 7th

    fine print says:

After 20GB of data use on a line in monthly bill cycle, data reduced to 2G speeds for remainder of bill cycle. Subject to this QoS policy, tethering at 600 Kbps & video streaming at SD quality (about 480p). Domestic off-net (roaming) at 2G speeds.

My friends free year of sprint is ending. Can't decide if he should get altice for 20 or visible or mint 8gb plan.

A different friend tried alice and is still getting emails that he has a balance, odd since its prepaid and he just let the account expire

Good news is they allow a wider range of port in numbers, I tried mine that kept getting rejected and it shows movable now.
Mourning the loss of my Nextel i325
