T-Mobile officially launches eSIM support for postpaid customers

    https://www.t-mobile.com/news/esim-postpaid

eSIM is great for people who want to use both work and personal numbers on a single smartphone, set up a phone with an international carrier for extended stays outside the U.S. or just get rid of that physical SIM card. Plus, AT&T, Sprint and Verizon customers can get T-Mobile on their existing smartphone. How cool is that?
To activate, customers with an eligible eSIM-capable smartphone can visit a T-Mobile store nationwide starting August 28. For more information, go here: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-40796.
Manners cost nothing, and also have the added benefit of making a man. You know, it is entirely possible to rise above others, without stooping to pushing them under, and putting them down.

Data point: I switched via one of my lines over via twitter support this morning. Took maybe 15 minutes. I had the EID ready in a form I could paste into a DM.

Is any other carrier doing this yet?

What really makes this great is you could now add a $15 line from Comcast or Spectrum cable and have unlimited talking voice on Verizon for coverage if you need it where you live.

I switch phones a lot on my main T-Mobile line.

Is it a pain to move from eSIM to a regular SIM and vice versa?

I would think a bit more than it would be to change SIM cards. This is still new so some reps may not handle the change correctly.

I suggest keeping your account on physical SIM if you need to swap devices a lot.

I’ve got the opposite situation, I swap carriers a lot on my iPhone XS. AT&T on eSIM and T-Mobile or Verizon (whatever I feel like testing) for the physical SIM. Super convenient.
