32 GB iPhone, waste of $$$?

I am interested in an older iPhone. Perhaps a new, not refurbished, 6s PLUS or 7. I have been told by 2 family members that 32 GB would be a mistake and I would regret having only 32 GB.

    Any thoughts or other opinions?

I may now be considering some newer iPhone models with 64 GB, iPhone 8 Plus or XR.

At this point I wouldn't get anything older than the iPhone 8. 32 GB isn't bad if you don't plan to put much on the phone, but 64GB and a newer phone will give you some room to breathe and will last you longer in terms of software updates. Between what you mentioned, if you can get the XR that would be my choice as it has a better display and better battery life.

    Thanks, frail!

I may wait until the new iPhones are released in September to see if the XR gets a bit of a price cut.

Well..........the 2018 iPhone model XR was cut by $150 when the iPhone 11 was introduced last week. I decided to purchase the XR replacement, now called iPhone 11, and went for the 128 GB model so I don't think I need to worry about memory!

    Thanks, frail!

    I have 3 iPods, a new iPad and a 27" 4K iMac, so I might as well get a basic iPhone 11.
The PRO iPhone versions were tempting, but when your coming from a old, cheap, LG Android phone, even the new basic iPhone 11 is spending real $$$ for me!

The iPhone 11 is a great phone that most iOS users will be happy with.

The basic model of the iPhone 11 is quite expensive.

    Yes, it does cost $699

Owning an iMac desktop, iPad and several iPods I finally felt it is easier to have all connected at some point. I have had near free to perhaps $100 TracFones for a LONG time. I would brag about spending a whopping $100 a year for my cell service. I have been a good saver and there is no point in accumulating $$$ your entire life w/o spending some!
