    Adam, you keep neglecting to acknowledge the FACT that although the plan and the phone supports the hotspot feature, the phone is ineligible based on the list of supported devices by Cricket. This is clearly stipulated in the link we both posted earlier about eligible devices. Arguing about it won't change that fact.

    This thread is now closed. If the OP wants to pursue this further they will either have to use a compatible device or bring it up with Cricket. The OP might try researching with the internet site, XDA-Developers to see if there is alternative method.

    I have factory unlocked non carrier specific s9+. It's not on the list of approved phones for hot spot. My plan does not include hot spot.
    However hotspot worked out of the box.
    The issue op has is that his phone is a t-mobile variant, not generic model and probably has sw feature where it verifies hotspot permissions with the network.
