    "Get Out of the Red"

Has anyone done "Get Out of the Red" ? (the T-Mobile promo to lure Verizon customers to switch)

I was just wondering how long they make you stick with TMO after you do it.

(Ideally, I'd like to stay, but I want to know all limits of deals)

Many Verizon customers are Verizon customers because they provide service where their customers need it... Or feel they need it. TMobile's rural coverage in many places is still lacking.

You can find the terms and info here: https://www.t-mobile.com/offers/swit...on-to-t-mobile

In Got Questions? section under Are there any special requirements? it says this: Must remain as an active T-Mobile customer for at least 15 days; at that time you are eligible to receive reimbursement via a virtual prepaid MasterCard.

I gave it a shot when it first launched and I was required to stay on T-Mobile for 15 days before I got the payout. Unfortunately T-Mobile did not have adequate coverage everywhere I needed it and I was forced to go elsewhere.

Well, they charged me $53 for the activation fees (two sims) yesterday when I switched. I called the 611 number and asked for it to be waived, and they waived $20 of it. Good enough!

The woman also mentioned that they are checking into refunding me back my final Verizon bill as part of "Carrier Freedom". Do they usually do this, and is it expected and problem-free?
