I always get my Tracfone cards from Target; 10% off or not. No taxes, no fees. Tracfone site charges tax, Public Safety Communications Surcharge, Federal Universal Service, and Regulatory Cost Recovery. This adds $2.72 for a $15 card. That's almost 20% of the card. Target says $15? Total is $15.

If only they sold the 3GB year eBay plan at Target... the regular cards are not a good deal.

I needed to have a little pity party for myself...I had picked up two $45 AT&T Prepaid refills when Meijer had the buy-one-get-one-50% deal and decided to hold one for a month because of the 90-day expiration after loading. I kept forgetting to load it, so I grabbed before leaving for work and put it in my back pocket. At some point between home, stopping for a coffee, and getting to work, it fell out and didn't end up in my car. I retraced my steps, but I couldn't find it (it was also windy today).

I've convinced myself that although losing $45 of value, I only paid about $25 for it, so that softened the blow a bit (at least trying to justify it). I did, however, see that Meijer was doing that same sale still and got two more. That sort of offset the loss, too.

On the other hand, I wouldn't mind Target doing some of their better deals ($5 off one card, BOGO-20% off) soon - the 10% isn't bad, but that seems to be the go-to.

This week's Target deal is $5 off selected refills priced at $50 or more.

In-store, $5 off applies to "all" refills $50 or more.

The on-line sale is more restrictive. Only the following refills are $5 off:
    AT&T $65
    Boost $50
    Cricket $55 and $60
    Net10 $55
    Total Wireless $60
    TracFone $99.99
    Verizon $50

There's no Target airtime sale again this week. For Black Friday, Target will have a buy one, get one 20% off sale on airtime. The sale will start around 2 AM Thanksgiving morning online and at 5 PM Thanksgiving in stores.

This week's (11/17-11/23) Target deal is $5 off "select" airtime cards priced at $50 or more. The sale appears to be fairly limited.

In store it's advertised as only applying to TracFone, Total Wireless, AT&T, Verizon, Boost Mobile and Cricket Wireless.

    On-line, $5 off is only available with the Cricket $55 and $60, Boost $50, AT&T $65, Verizon $50, Total Wireless $60, TracFone $99.99 and Net10 $60 refills.

It might be better to wait for Target's buy one, get one 20% off, Black Friday sale. Hopefully it will apply to all carriers and denominations.

I wish they would sell the $10 refills for T-Mobile.

I have to use CallingMart for my once a year refill on my 2 Legacy Gold Rewards lines.
