    why are most phone drivers for windows, but not mac ?

    what does apple have against phone drivers?

    MacOS doesn't have any drivers for anything. It's not like Windows. It usually connects to phones without any drivers, just like Linux. Your issue is the phones you are trying to connect are too old and MacOS doesn't recognize them.
