Forgot lockscreen pattern but still have access...

I have an S7 running 7.0. I have a lock screen pattern and fingerprint set up but I've either forgotten the pattern or it's just not accepting anything I input for some reason. I can still get into the phone via fingerprint but if I try to change the pattern, it now locks me out for 60 minutes before I can try again. Once locked out, I can't even get in via fingerprint. I've tried a lot of patterns and find it hard to believe I haven't gotten the right one so it might just be screwing up?

In either case, is there a way to reset the pattern without knowing it? If I try, it just locks me out for 60 minutes. I'm afraid one day the fingerprint won't work and I'll be sol.

I've searched online but not found a working solution so far.

    Thanks!

1). I found Reset Android Password Software on "tenorshare" site. I really don't know about this software.

    2). Using "Android Device Manager"
    a. Go to the Android Device Manager from a computer
    b. Find your Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge on the screen
    c. Enable “Lock & Erase” feature
    d. Then follow the given steps on the page to lock your phone
    e. Set a temporary password
    f. Enter the temporary password on your Galaxy S7
    g. Create a new password

    3). Last option is Reboot.
