    Nighthawk where to buy MR1100-2A1NAS

I'm looking for one of the boxes with band 14. Hopefully it will help in my rural area. Don't really see them for sale except for one guy on Ebay.

Maybe since you can't select the bands used anyway it doesn't really matter.

Best Buy has them. Just search M1 Nighthawk. They were $199 a couple of months ago. But now they’re $249.

There was a thread just posted on this forum on how to band lock the m1. I haven’t tried it myself yet though.

The first versions of the nighthawk won't get band 14, even if you try to lock it on band 14. It is still worth looking for the newer versions.

Bestbuy no longer has them for $199, they are $249 now. At that price maybe the unlocked one off Amazon would be a better option.

If you are rural, a better option maybe getting an EM7511 card and getting a usb adapter like this:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...06T1PXVI&psc=1

You can plug it into an Openwrt Wifi Router. This option would give you the abiity to add more powerfull antennas or a cellular amplifier. It is a bit of steeper learning curve.

edit: Nevermind about the unlocked US version, it doesn't seem to have band 14. You have to get the ATT one for Band 14.

Looks interesting, but I don't know if I would want to brave that one alone. Looks like there could be quite a learning curve.

I don't see anywhere on the Best Buy site https://www.bestbuy.com/site/at-t-ni...?skuId=6212403

where they specify that this is the variant that supports band 14 (MR1100-2A1NAS).

The Nighthawk M1 has supported band 14 for over a year. There is a label inside the back cover when you remove the battery that stamped “b4”.

I've still been searching for the MR1100-2A1NAS version of this and have been striking out at most places. I can't tell which version of the HotSpot AT&T is selling on their site here: https://www.att.com/buy/connected-de...gear-nighthawk

According to the specs on the AT&T site this one does include Band 14 support. You can also see their UPC and SKU numbers at the bottom of the page.

Well then I guess going the 6420B SKU, this one from Walmart at a cheaper price would also be the right one:https://www.walmart.com/ip/NETGEAR-N...ype=10&veh=aff

I made the plunge and bought the 6420B. Is the SIM card form factor the same in both of these, or do I need an adapter?
