    Fi with no data

Is it possible to pay just $20/month if all I want is unlimited talk with no data? Txt is not important either. Or am I charged a minimum $30 whether I use data or not?

You’re charged a minimum of $20.00, plus any taxes your particular state has for cellular service. Data is $10 per GB, prorated, and you are only charged for the cellular data you actually use, so theoretically your bill could be $20 + taxes if no cellular data is used.

OP, to avoid data usage charges turn off Cellular Data in your phone settings and only use data while connected to WiFi if needed. Text will work without data, but MMS will not be sent or rcvd without cellular data on your phone since it doesn't appear to be an iPhone based on your profile.

Thanks for the replies. I do use an iphone. Not sure why it seems from my profile that I am not.
I actually use a SIM plus have a second line on an eSIM and I have data turned off on this line. I have been thinking of replacing this second line with a Fi line and the idea of having a $20/month no data line is attractive. I don't even need txt on this line as its purpose is to have another carrier to fall back onto when I am areas where I do not get coverage on my main provider (Verizon).

There are few places where the combination of T-Mobile, Sprint and USCC will have service that Verizon does not at least roam. $20/mo seems like a bit of change just for coverage in maybe 1% of circumstances. Frequent international roaming might be a better reason. Just MHO.
