    Ting 30gig a Month Hot Spot $25

Ting has a 30Gig a Month Hot Spot for $ 25. I need it for a one month vacation and Sprint has good service at this house. I will use every bit of 30gigs a month. I only need it for one month.

    Any other suggestions?

That's as good as it gets.

The next closest that I know of is the AT&T unlimited tablet plan at $35. I believe that can be used in a hotspot.

Why not directly from Sprint? Kickstart is unlimited for $25 a month with no contract.

Just ro be clear, KickStart can only be activated on a phone, not on a standalone hotspot device, and there is no way of moving the sim to a standalone hotspot device either.

Also there is no hotspot/tethering allowance on Kickstart even when KickStart is activated on a phone, so you cannot use a phone's official hotspot. This may change soon but it may be $10 extra (ie. $35 total) for 50 GB hotspot allowance.

Unofficially, there are the usual ways of using an unofficial hotspot on Android phones. So yes, this can work very well with the right Android phone and the right hotspot software.

This is interesting. I have never heard of Ting. I too will need 1 months service. Just a few calls, bunch of texts and about 2gb data for 2 phones.
Looking at the maps, I will need service in an area that is services by Sprint and ATT but not T-mobile. I have a iphone Xr. At home I use GSM (Fido which is Rogers in Canada). Years ago, CDMA had no SIM cards. I ran my IMEI number on Ting's website for CDMA and it said I'm compatible. My Fido is on the eSIM of my phone.

    Questions
    - Can I put a CDMA SIM into my iPhone Xr, reboot it and it will work?
-Can I really get 2 lines, 100 min shared, 1000 texts and 4GB shared for only $60.00 (30.00 each line) (that's 1 months service with ATT)
-Any idea if they'll mail 2 SIMs to Canada?

    thanks
