How long do you have to activate the plan? When your current plan is up can you port your number out to Tello or something and then port back into RP as a "new'' customer? (assuming you want to keep your number)

If it's the 5gb GSMA only $240 plan that's been offered throughout the year, I think activation is good for up to one year

If it's the new customers only GSMA plus Sprint plan that's being offered for $205, it's 90 days.

Well the "new customer only" bit me. Even though I was on CDMAV network and would technically be a new GSMA customer, Redpocket support could not activate the plan. I offered to activate with a new phone number, but it didn't work. So they advised me to write to RedPocket on eBay and start a return.

Their loss is your gain. Return the rp plan and buy the net 10 plan instead. Cost less and more gigs of Data if you stay on vzw

Update...so I messaged RedPocket on ebay, asking for a refund, as was suggested by Redpocket support. I did that, got a reply that they wanted to speak to me on the phone, and they called me back pretty quickly. The service rep said he will get the 5GB plan working for me, and sure enough he did. He told me that regular support sometimes doesn't know how to activate the plan for customers like me that are really new GSMA customers, but are existing RedPocket customers.

He got me up and working in less than 15 minutes. I now have the proper 5GB data, unlimited text and voice.

    Yipee glad you're sorted.

So to recap. You were not on RP GSMA to begin with?

correct, I was on RP CDMAV prior to buying the RP GSMA plan. I wouldn't rule out that I might have been some sort of exception, and that somebody that orders the GSMA "for new customers only" that is already a GSMA customer could get it to work too. But I wouldn't want to be the one to try it.

It's still currently working on the RP $30 annual Sprint plan I posted about at https://www.howardforums.com/showthr...000-200-Sprint. The code still gives $3.00 (10%) off.

Does anyone know definitely how long you have til you have to activate the plan? For Red Pocket and Net10 360 5gb?

I am probably going to be on Page Plus for atleast 2 more months and then switch. I know Red Pocket might have changed from 1 year to 3 months or less.
