    T-Mobile NV/UT/AZ Road Trip

Here's a quick analysis of T-Mobile with my LG Stylo 4:

    Average Rating: 6.45

    Roadtrip Rating Breakdown
Las Vegas, NV: 9/10, great from Hoover Dam to LAS.
NV to UT on I-15, 6/10, good when you weren't in a pass.
St. George, UT: 7/10, good in town to the north it became spotty.
NV to AZ on I-40, 7/10, fine throughout the drive to Flag.
Flagstaff, AZ: 8/10, better than expected in and around Flag.
Grand Canyon: 3/10, roaming on Commnet on South Rim.
Southeast Phoenix, AZ: 4/10, slow and poor signal in Mesa/Tempe/Scottsdale.
Tonto National Forest: 5/10, roaming on Commnet in the desert.
Papago Park: 8/10, reliable service on the eastern edge of Phoenix.
Metro Phoenix: 7/10, driving through Phoenix on the freeway wasn't a problem.
AZ to NV on 93: 7/10, fine throughout the drive to LAS.
T-Mobile. Connecting you when you need it most... disconnecting you when you need to connect with God's beautiful creation! Service is great in cities and highways, but in rural areas they leave you with just your surroundings. I encourage you to get T-Mobile, disconnect for a while!

I am glad that God is not like cell phone coverage. He does not hide behind mountains or loose us down long windy roads. The Lord levels mountains, and He makes our paths straight!

Thanks for this. I’ve sent it in to T-Mobile to help them improve.

Yes. Thanks for that. I’m assuming it was a mix of mid and low band and band 71? Stinks that southeast Phoenix was poor and that T-Mobile still can’t get signal in Grand Canyon.

CellMapper shows a T-Mobile tower about 6 km south of Grand Canyon Village. The signal dies just before you get to the Village. I assume that it's yet another case of NPS giving preference to the two original cellular carriers (now Verizon and Commnet) and not allowing any room for competition. It seems that AT&T also roams Commnet at Grand Canyon.

I took many of the same routes circa 2012. Glad to see that coverage has improved greatly since then. I think T-Mobile still roams on Commnet in the desert route between Las Vegas and Reno as well.

Thanks for the updates. Some improvement, but lots of work still to do.

    Did this include B71?

I just mapped Las Vegas to Lake Tahoe, on Cellmapper, and partially on Sensorly I would give it a rating of 6.5/10.

I also mapped Las Vegas to Death Valley the other day. After heading west from Pahrump signal gets spotty, and you pick up T-Mobile here and there. Within Death Valley you roamed on Comnet.

Heading today to Zion National Park from Las Vegas. Service is the same as it was last year with towers spread out a little to far. So either you lost service between towers, or it was to weak to do anything.

That comment about sites too far apart reminds me of what I used to get on i75 in Michigan after Grayling
