    Cricket launching hotspot

According to BestMVNO, Cricket is launching $120 hotspot next week with three plans available.
    $25 - 3GB, $35 - 10GB, $70 - 30GB

The hotspot and the $35 plan seem overpriced.
Both Red Pocket GSMA and T-Mobile Prepaid beat the plan:
    RP: $25 - 5 GB, $15 2GB
    TMO: $25 6 GB, $10 - 2 GB

Cricket's $35 and $70 plans are better. I believe that they offer more data at those price points than any competitor for plans that explicitly allow hotspot use.

Update, a reditor reminded me that Verizon Prepaid has a $70 ($65 with autopay) unlimited Jetpack hotspot plan. That beats Cricket's $70 30 GB plan.

Just not official and violates the terms and conditions to use the iPad plan in a hotspot. Though many people do it.
iPhone X is my current primary phone. I have older model iPhones and Moto phones available on other lines. Currently prepaid, though would consider postpaid on right plan.

Can confirm the $29.99 AT&T plan (going up to $35) does work in a hotspot. Friend of mine has been using theirs for months with no issues.

Correct. With broadband apn, data works on any android phone but not the hotspot. Hotspot works in rooted or international phone.
