Vmail Indicator will not clear on LG V-20 using Red Pocket (T-mob)

Not sure if it is a Red Pocket thing or a phone thing. Spent 1 hour with red pocket support where they disabled vmail and re-enabled. That did not work. Still have vmail indicator on after confirming and/or clearing a vmail I left to test the system.

Also did everything I could think of on the phone to get it to go off, including master reset.

Anyone have any ideas to help me fix it?

By master reset, do you mean factory reset, which clears out all data and settings on the phone, supposedly making it "like new"?

Do you have another phone that you can test with? Put your SIM in the second phone and see if the BM indicator shows up right away. If it doesn’t, leave a VM so the indicator shows up and then see if it will clear on the second phone. That might help determine if it’s RP or your phone.

Try leaving another voice message then do the delete thing to them.

thanks, yes I have tried that a few times. I wonder if I leave a few vms over the course of a few hours then delete them. I'll try it nothing to lose.

It is a red pocket problem, V30 shows same issue when used with rp sim.

Any good alternative MVNO to RP using T-Mobile

thanks, reading up on Mint now, some folks complaining on port delays, but so far it seems to be a good alternative.

UPDATE: Red Pocket has FAILED to fix this problem. Numerous questions about proof that the indicator was on after deleting vmail prompted me to make a video for them so they could more clearly understand. About a dozen emails later about escalating my ticket, they have gone silent as my plan has renewed for another month.

My solution, since no other carrier has a $10 plan like mine, is to keep using RP but without voicemail that is reliable. I have recorded a greeting giving folks my google voice number and telling them to leave a message there.

Hope this is helpful to anyone thinking of Red Pocket.

What about using Google Voicemail instead?

As a USA citizen I have the right to criticize my government. My thanks for this is endless in magnitude.

Fascism is here led by a racist, godless, immoral, hypersensitive, crass, narcissist liar, psychopath committing High Treason against the USA.
