some may be happy to do because then they may feel if AT&T were to put up a fit they were using a different device they could point out AT&T sold them the device as an upgrade/offer

Nighthawk Refurbished $8.50 for 20 months.
I still don’t see an option but see options to upgrade for phones.

I see the option now for $10 a month. The rep had to reboot my account.

How much better is the Nighthawk vs the Velocity?

Trying to find a way to replace Xfinity internet with wireless.

I'd go with the M1. It has 4x4 MIMO and is more future proof. Near gigabit speed capable. As AT&T lights up their 5G across the country I'd think the M1 would be the better unit to see more speed improvements than the UE.

Yes, I got that information from my account right before I made that post.

You do have to click Show More like 8 or 9 times before hotspots start to appear on the list.

Yea I finally found it. I might pick one up. I currently have a Velocity which doesn’t get that good of speeds.

Better than Velocity, but why pay full price for a device that's over a year old?
AT&T will be soon releasing the M5, which will be faster than the M1.
Even in areas that don't have 5G.
The M1 isn't much better than a Unite Explore. It has ethernet, but you can USB connect to a router if you need ethernet.

When will the M5 be released? Hopefully that will be available for an upgrade like the Nighthawk. Just wanting to ditch Xfinity internet and replace it with wireless if I can.

I've read that it's being released in April.
Expect AT&T to just quietly start offering it.
They gave the Velocity 2 and Unite Explore 2 the same treatment.

Ok did some more research. Has anyone here successfully upgraded within AT&T from Mobley device to a Nighthawk and was able to keep the same unlimited data plan?

I’ve read people who were able to upgrade BUT what AT&T doesn’t tell you is they change your plan to a mobile tier plan cause it’s not possible to replace a Mobley device with a Nighthawk in AT&T system and keep the CCU plan.

One of my lines is using a Velocity. I see the option to upgrade to an M1.
    This is false.

You need better sources of information, or better hearing aids.

Why do I? I asked if anyone has successfully upgraded from a Mobley car connect unlimited plan hotspot to a Nighthawk via AT&T and still was able to keep unlimited data. So far no one has answered. Yes they are people who bought a Nighthawk not via AT&T and SIM swapped but that’s not my question

It means your not listening or reading or your sources blow. Yes, PLENTY of users have and are doing this. I’m one of them. YES, the $20 UNLIMITED plan. Actually, two of them. Does this help?

Plenty of users upgraded through AT&T? I think not. Plenty have bought hotspots front the likes of Best Buy and SIM swapped.
