    As you know, Cydia is the package manager mobile application which helps users to download and install jailbreak apps and tweaks on jailbroken iOS devices. It works as a third-party apps store offers a number of apps and tweaks for free. Cydia was designed by Jay Freeman (saurik) who is a world-famous software engineer. The initial release of the app was launched in 2008 and it has not updated after 2017. So, there is a higher demand for a new third-party app store

    Sileo As Cydia Replacement

    Sileo has been designed by a group of developers. The Group members are Coolstar, Alessandro Chiarlitti, Nullpixel,AppleBetas, and Kabir Oberai. Currently, Electra jailbreak tool comes with both Sileo and Cydia. But according to the developer, it will not be shipped by default in the future and it will be installable.     How To Install Sileo Using Electra Jailbreak

    • Step 01 - Download Electra IPA file and sideload it on your iOS device using Cydia impactor through a Windows or macOS computer
    • Step 02 - Launch the Electra app and jailbreak your iOS device
    • Step 03 - Now, launch Cydia application and go to the Sources >>Electra’s iOS utility >> All package >> Sileo (Beta)>>Install
    • Step 04 - After installing your Springboard will restart and you will be able to find the Sileo on your device home screen

    How To Install Sileo Using Unc0ver Jailbreak

    If you have jailbreak your device using Unc0ver Jailbreak you can install Sileo following below steps

    • Launch Cydia application
    • Go to Sources > Tap on "Edit" button > Tap on "Add" button > Enter the repository URL for Sileo as ""
    • Tap on "Add Source" button
    • Wait for a while until the Cydia adds the repository to the sources
    • Now, go to the "Changes" tab and find the package named “Sileo for unc0ver"
    • After finding, tap on "Install" > Tap on "Confirm" > Tap on "Restart SpringBoard"
    • Now run the MTerminal app and type "su"
    • Tap return key on your keyboard
    • Enter Alpine if you have not changed the root password
    • Type "sillyo" and tap the return key
    • Wait until the installation is completed
    • Visit the Home screen after installation is done
    • There you will find Sileo app

    From the look, I agreed that Sileo does look quite interesting. It is just similar to Cydia but more updated. As we heard Cydia will not be updated anymore so this will be a great replacement. But for now, it not worth using. Because there are a lot of issues and bugs to fix. So personally I use Cydia until it released completely with great features.
