    Straight talk throttling

Does st still throttle for their interpretation of excessive use because I am currently on cricket and am moving to an area better served by vzw I watch lots of YouTube on phone no tethering the 60 GB plan sounds good but only if I can make use of it I have a s8plus unlocked tmo branded

Straight Talk does not throttle any more. The only issue might be Verizon deprioritization. Verizon deprioritization will drop your speeds if you go into heavy used tower. Only not that busy tower, upgraded tower or built out areas might not see Verizon deprioritization that much.

I had that plan last year for a bit and went over 60GB every month. Never noticed any slowdowns other than the typical network management.

You should be OK, but for maybe the Verizon deprioritization.

You don't know the tower setup and how many users connect to that tower. Like the tower near me, I get around .5Mbps during the day, and I am near I29 with about 4k people in the area, but if I go to the bigger cities near me which they have built small cells and upgraded the towers, I get 20Mbps to 40Mbps. Even if I cross the river which has a smaller number of people, I get 30Mbps to 50Mbps.

In my small town the VZW signal can vary a lot. B4/B66 is usually used, but sometimes short period of B5 which is much stronger. Have not speed tested the B5 signal, as it doesn't last long. You seldom see B13 here anymore.

It's a VPN. It tunnels all of your traffic through their servers. Hides your Internet activity from your ISP. I personally use NordVPN.
