    Micro SIM To Nano SIM

I want to go from a micro SIM to a nano SIM card. Is it still up to each store or employee whether they charge for the new SIM card?

I have been told by several corp stores the SIM cards are "inventory", therefore they must charge for them.

The only way you will get a "free" one is if you tell them you are having problems with your SIM card.

I think ATT still has separate SIM sizes, not a 3 in one "combi" SIM like T-Mobile.

Looks like ebay has several (all sizes) for <$5...

Also, an ATT "authorized retailer" may be more generous in giving you one...

You have a few options. You can cut it yourself, get it cut at a store, or replace it. There are many sellers online with better prices. I have never paid to have a sim replaced at a corporate store. They are able to ring up a sim for $0. I’ve only had to do this twice and each time was due to issues on AT&T’s behalf, so ymmv.

Go to a corporate store, I’ve never been charged for a new sim. An authorized retailer will most likely charge you.

You can also buy a sim cutter on amazon/eBay but you have to be very careful when cutting down to nano size.

I used to get new SIMs for free, but since last year they have been charging me $9, except for the eSIM which was mailed to me for free.
AT&T gave me plastic card with the QR code needed to activate the eSIM.
