    Beast Mobile

Anyone looked into Beast Mobile? Thinking of putting my mom on the $4.00 monthly unlimited talk & text as a back up phone. Just tried a MEID from an unlocked phone & it seems to work.

I don't think I ever heard of them before your post.

That $4 UT&T plan, which is for Sprint only, is a good deal if native Sprint coverage works for the user.

The $24/mo UT&T+1GB, using Sprint or AT&T, isn't so good.

The $50/mo UT&T+10GB LTE, also Sprint or AT&T, is only so-so.

You spelled the name wrong, it's Boost Mobile.

    https://beastmobile.net/policies/terms-of-service shows:
"Beast Mobile’s Services permit businesses and advertisers to deliver ads, coupons, deals, and other advertising content to a user’s mobile lockscreen and within the Beast Mobile Application (“the App”)."

I'm not sure if using the app is required or not.

    https://beastmobile.net/collections/...ast-mobile-app shows:
    "3 EASY STEPS TO DOWNLOAD
Step 1. From your Beast Mobile(Android) phone visit www.beastmobile.net.
Step 2. On your device: Go to settings, security, unknown sources. Allow unknown sources.
Step 3. Click here ( http://bit.ly/beastmobileapk ) from your Android phone to download and automatically install the app."

I'm still not sure if using the app is required or not.

Thanks Boz, the $4.00 monthly really sounds a bit too good to be true. Just wondering if there are any gotcha's?

Well, how many minutes does your mom need? Does she really need "unlimited?" If not, there may be comparable deals that don't push annoying adds to the lockscreen of a phone...

No, this would just be a backup as she is on Total Wireless now.

    Has TW been unreliable?

Or do you mean like for a glove box phone in case she forgets her main phone?

For a very low usage backup, using AT&T, go with Truphone. No monthly charge, pay as you go.

Sent from my SM-N960U1 using HoFo mobile app

No, TW has been great. No real issues & she has been using them for a few years now. Just thought this would be a good idea, but not sure if the pop up ads are worth it. May just show here how to use Talkatone again on her other phone.

FreeUp would be a good backup phone. 1000 minutes or texts a month for free.

I don't know if anyone has noticed but the $24 unlimited/unlimited/1GB montly plan is now only $10. This applies to Sprint for Android devices only. For AT&T, the same plan is still $24.
