VoLTE on my Samsung S9+ from Koodo (SM-G965W)

Hello. Couldn't resist the deal from Freedom decided to give it a try. Got the $40 7GB plan and see how that goes.

Was excited to try VoLTE and Wifi calling. However those features were not available on the handset after various attempts. Then I went to a Freedom store today and was told I need to master reset my S9+ then insert the freedom sim from fresh to trigger the update. However master reset would also means I need to spend hours on configuration.

Does anyone have a better suggestion or have had a similar experience?

I was thinking since Koodo has VoLTE. Would it help if I insert a Koodo sim and hopefully that will update with VoLTE and Wifi calling. Remove the koodo sim then insert the freedom's?

    Thanks in advance.

Those settings are stored in your SIM cards. Freedom only support devices purchased from them at this moment.

This works. I have VoLTE & Wifi calling now on my phone

Choose "network code change" the phone restarted and have both options updated.

If Choose "Sales code change" the phone will wipe to original factory setting.

How does one chance the NCC instead of the CSC?
The #272 code is for CSC.

No, you are asked if you want to change the Network Code Change or the Sales Code Change. I selected Network Code Change on my Samsung Galaxy S9.

Oh. It must be new with Pie! Pretty neat feature, honestly.

I did it with Oreo -- I just got Pie this morning. I heard that Network Code Change is new with the Samsung Galaxy S9, S9 Plus, and Note9.

Yeah, the Network Code Change took me something like only 15 to 20 seconds. It was great that it didn't wipe any data from my S9.

Does it mean I have to change the code on my BYOD to get VoLTE or WiFi calling?

Freedom Mobile doesn't sell or support the OnePlus 6T so you cannot get VoLTE or Wi-Fi Calling.
