    Sprint / T-Mobile Roaming w/ Cell Spot?

I have a friend who lives in Topanga Canyon on top of a mountain and has no cell service. He’s got a T-Mobile pico cell spot.

If I take my Sprint iPhone there will it roam to the cell spot?

It didn’t work for me using an iPhone 6+. Perhaps it will work with a newer device?

It doesn’t work that way. It’s open to any T-Mobile user.

I think it was ATT that required the devices registered?

It’s an option, but the cell signal goes a lot farther.

Don't think the Cell Spot will work for Sprint users -- the reason why is because T-Mobile actually is broadcasting a Sprint MNC (around here it's 311-490, which is one of their old Clear ones... have heard they are using old Clear and Nextel MNCs in other parts of the country too) which is why it works so smooth... They also only broacast this on Bands 2/4/66 so you don't get Band 12/71). T-Mobile is usually 310-260 -- which is probably the only thing the Cell Spot is putting out -- so unless the Cell Spot broadcasts the Clear MNCs (I doubt that they are), your Sprint phone just won't see it, or it will show up as "Emergency Calls Only" like usual.
