    RCS and Bell

When will Bell support RCS on Android messages?
I have a Galaxy S9 which is supported, but it only works with other Galaxy phones on Bell/Virgin.
Like RCS on Rogers works with RCS on Freedom because they use Google's standards.

Samsung announced back in September that they're working with Google to make their RCS systems work with each other: https://news.samsung.com/global/sams...ng-for-android

Yeah, I know, that should come with Android Pie, but will Bell support it? That's another question.

Maybe @sheytoon knows Bell's future direction with RCS?

And it would be really nice if TELUS, Koodo, and Public Mobile finally got on board!

Hell, I'd just love to have WiFi calling on my Pixel. There is no technological reason why Bell can't enable it.

Currently RCS is only supported on Samsung devices. Other Android phones to come in the future.

So...Android Pie is out. Samsung had said that they would offer support to work with Google's RCS. So far nothing here on Bell.

T-Mobile is now updating the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ to One UI which includes support for RCS: https://m.gsmarena.com/tmobiles_sams...news-35477.php

My Samsung Galaxy S9 (Android Pie and One UI) is on TELUS, but still no RCS. There is talk that TELUS will have RCS in the first quarter.

T-Mobile US user here. The Pie update came with RCS and RCS within the carrier network however, universal RCS is on hold.

That we already had on Bell on Oreo. I was hoping we could use RCS with other people, even on other Androids, but Bell still limiting it to Samsung to Samsung.

This is extremely disappointing. Bell really needs to step up and move with the industry...
