    UMIDIGI phones look pretty good

The UMIDIGI A3 and A3 Pro for $70 and $100 at Amazon and the UMIDIGI One Max flagship killer for an intro price of $180 with teardrop notch, side fingerprint reader AND headphone jack.

And they seem to have many US LTE bands. 2,4,5,12,17. Many Chinese phones only have band 5.

    A3: FDD-LTE 1 /2 /3 /4 /5 /7 /8 /12 /13 /17 /19 /20

VoLTE support? If no, then this phone should not be used on T-Mobile and can not be used on Verizon.

    Update: It supports VoLTE: http://www.umidigi.com/page-umidigi_a3_overview.html

So, it is compatible with AT&T (3G and 4G LTE), compatible with Verizon LTE network (assuming you can enable VoLTE with Verizon SIM on this phone) and compatible with T-Mobile 2G/3G/LTE networks (but most likely without Wi-Fi calling and without bands 66 and 71).

2 GB RAM / 16 GB storage does not look very promising (especially storage). For $70 it's OK, but I wold take Pro version (3 GB RAM/32 GB storage) for $100 http://www.umidigi.com/page-umidigi_...ification.html

Do you have a link to the UMIDIGI One Max on Amazon? I can't seem to find it.

Wow! So, the A3 has dual SIM plus dedicated microSD, but the One Max has dual SIM, but a hybrid slot, so NO dedicated microSD!

Well it has 128GB so I wouldn't need it. I think it's great it has a headphone jack and a tiny notch.

ATT and Tmo reliably. Some people say they have gotten Umidigis to work on Verizon. The quad core processor in the A3 is pretty slow. My Huawei Ascend XT2 8-core is 25% faster. Paid $35. But a 64GB card is only $10.

Review below. He really liked it aside from being a bit laggy. Good camera. In fact, all the reviewers have really liked it.

But that $180 one looks tempting. Maybe I'll win one

Umidigi claims VOLTE on both sims. But isn't volte not universally compatible between carriers?

Had a One pro. The software had many issues umidigi was very slow to fix. They have never really updated phones to the next version. Although oreo to pie should be a easy leap if they care to. They have come out with like 10 phones in the past 4 months so I doubt they are going to keep up on the software front. The camera on the "ONE" line is terrible. Build wise though I found it to be very nice for the price.

Yeah, the YT reviewers have lamented that their upper tier phones are not as good as the lowly A3.

This is the only real review I've found of the Max. He has no complains but iffy reception in buildings. He couldn't tell the screen was 720p until he looked at the specs

Pretty much every possible feature for $180, including wireless charging.

It certainly looks like a bargain.

Do you think there's any chance it will get Android security updates and updated to Pie?

    Sadly, it's missing US LTE bands 14, 29, 30, 66, 71.

Still, if I had been paying attention, I might have tried one if I could have gotten it for the $89.99 price between 12/10-12/17/18!

I still don't understand why it seems like ALL manufacturers, the ones that offer dedicated microSD card slots on at least some of their dual SIM phones, only provide triple card slots for their lower-end devices, but only two card slots for their higher end devices! Umidigi is no different!

There are tempting deals at https://store.umidigi.com/ .

The UMIDIGI F1 looks especially nice for $199.99 with 4GB/128GB, NFC, 3.5mm jack, 5G WiFi, USB C, and Pie. If I would have seen this before 1/7/19 in order to get the free Uwatch with the phone purchase, I might have bit.

    Too bad still no LTE bands 14, 29, 30, 66, 71.

F1 review. 1080p, even bigger battery, rear fingerprint, no wireless charging, Pie.
