    New XS on Cricket wireless

    Hello All,

I looked around and don't think I see a definitive answer to this question so this is my first post.

I would like to buy a unlocked iPhone XS from Best Buy for my wife for Christmas.

I have about $300 Best Buy "points" to put towards the phone so I hope to buy it there.

This is her "big present" under the tree so I'm worried about powering it up and it working out of the box.

We are on Cricket Wireless so my first question is -

    Will this work?

I see if I buy at the Apple store I can get a Unlocked Phone.

Can I get a unlocked or can I use the ATT phone from Best Buy?

If the above is possible, do I just put her existing sim in the new phone and trun it on?

Any links or white papers that outline the steps I need to make this work are appreciated.

    Thanks in Advance

    Kevin

The phone will work on cricket.
However, I have heard of best buy phones locking to the first sim that
Is inserted in the phone. Even though
The phone was / is unlocked.

    Thanks for your input.

That's what I read, since Cricket is prepaid ATT I was concerned that if I buy a ATT phone and first sim with my existing cricket sim is there a chance either company will get pissed?

yes, I had a 6S from my sister, I used Verizon prepaid, However, I tried ATT prepaid for a mouth, and went back to Verizon. NO problem It didn't lock to ATT wireless.
