Good news tablet hunters! T-Mobile is launching Samsung's LTE-A flagship tablet this Friday.

    Features include:

    • Android Oreo
    • Facial recognition and an iris scanner
    • Quad speakers
    • S Pen stylus
    • 10.5-inch 2560×1600 Super AMOLED display
    • 13MP rear camera for your quick tablet photo captures and an 8MP front camera for video calling.
    • Octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor
    • Huge 7,300 mAh battery
    • 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage
    • Supports microSD slot expansion

The device costs $700 full retail. You can EIP this unit for $28 down and $28 per month for 24 months with any data plan.

However T-Mobile is sweetening the pot if you add a new line and activate a 6GB Simple Choice or T-Mobile ONE mobile internet plan or higher with autopay. With this option you'd pay $28 down but after credits you'll only pay $13.42 per month.

“The Internet wasn’t meant to be metered in bits and bytes, so it’s insane that wireless companies are still making you buy it this way. The rate plan is dead — it’s a fossil from a time when wireless was metered by every call or text.” John Legere 1/5/2017

I have a Tab S3. The pen is near unusable, so I hope they improve that

it has a hairtrigger button that calls up an overlay function menu, which interrupts and messes up any attempt to write.

Palm rejection is also terrible on most apps in the S3. Here's to improvement!

    Thank you!

    LTE Band list?

I've been looking for a replacement for my (Unlocked AT&T) Tab 4. But I prefer the 8" size, which isn't very popular these days.

Most websites don't mention the unit having Band 71 but T-Mobile officially does: https://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/lt...atible-devices

I highlighted the other network bands listed on Samsung's website that may be pertinent to a T-Mobile user here in the States including their small pocket of Band 5 LTE (Myrtle Beach, SC) and Band 41 which may be of interest to us sooner than we expect. https://www.howardforums.com/showthr...al-with-Sprint

    LTE:
    B1(2100), B2(1900), B3(1800), B4(AWS), B5(850), B7(2600), B8(900), B12(700), B13(700), B17(700), B20(800), B28(700), B66(AWS-3)B38(2600), B40(2300), B41(2500)

    UMTS:
    B1(2100), B2(1900), B4(AWS), B5(850), B8(900)

Post Edited. Definitely will support all the bands and CA combos that the TMO S9 variants support. The supported bands can be viewed and manually selected in Service Mode on a Samsung tablet as well

This deal is still ongoing (at least as of Saturday December the 8th). I still use my T-Mo Tab S2 multiple times a day but at half off I couldn't resist.

If anyone's got any questions about it I can answer them. FWIW though I miss the fingerprint reader (the intelligent "iris+face" unlocker is a gimmick really, with a ~50% success rate plus it can't be used for biometric authentication in apps like the fingerprint can) but the tablet itself is much faster overall and the screen is really nice. The pen is still in the box though . The official Sammy case is expensive for what you get and not as useful as the one with the TabS2, I've got some 3rd-party cases coming from Amazon this weekend and may use one of those instead. It's running 8.1.0 .
