5G Ultra Wideband Speed Test Thread

Where and how do you guys whet some of these amazing speeds of >250 Mb/s?

I have tried all over OC and Riverside county California and am lucky to get over 100 Mb/a at best. I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max on Start Unlimited Plan. What is happening? I am throttled to <100Mb/s?

I'm also on Start I can get these speeds outdoor on my front porch usually between midnight and 6 AM. I;ve gotten as high as 320 Mbps. No c-band or 5G of any kind here just 45X45 MHz of LTE

IMHO and experience, even 10Mbps is plenty for surfing or streaming.

That's not the point. Verizon charges a premium price for a supposedly premium network. Also streaming is handled differently anyway with it's own speed cap. You won't get 10 Mbps on Verizon's plans unless you're in a UW area or you pay extra( except for Welcome and Start where it's not an option )

But 277 Mbps down is really pathetic for 100 MHz n77 aggregated with 35 MHz of downlink LTE spectrum. :/

They’ll get the speed up to par. That’s a more remote area

Well in some places it would drop back to LTE and then jump back up to 5G UW. I did notice a bunch of Small cells though around the downtown area on light poles, I did not get a picture unfortunately.

Found another mmWave Installation but this time it was I believe on a local Verizon Store in Tigard, OR by Washington Square Mall. My iPhone 13 was reporting n261.

For sure. Upload speeds aren't this fast on the older 4CC sites though.

For DL or UL? Download is limited to 8CC. I believe upload utilizes up to 4CC.

Visible+(Verizon) with my iPhone 14 Plus(Snapdragon X65 Modem) on mmWave, this was on the North end of the Strip by the Wynn Encore in Las Vegas. The first speed test yielded over 2 Gigs per second but only one other time did I see that, this UWB setup is what I saw up and down the Strip in picture number 2.

Thanks for posting this. I’m going to be in that area soon and was looking forward to seeing the mmWave performance out there.
