How much of your 5 GB do you usually use every month?

I have that plan for 4 years now....and I have never gone above the 5GB not even once. Most I have used is 4.3GB which is why I did not accept the offer, why pay extra $10 or $15 if I don’t use the data and when I only have to pay $10/GB overage if I do go over once in a while. Offer was very tempting though!

I was so sad when I noticed this. I logged in ready to change my plan and saw they changed. Must have just missed it. I currently have $85 10GB through Bell, so I cancelled the Koodo line. With them it would have been 10GB for $66 + $20 L tab so there wasn't any benefit to changing. Now that I know how to do this though, if they come out with another good offer I'll jump on board.

You should all look in march. This plan is in and out and good deals are at the end of every financial quarter. March is the next month for good promotions.

    Hi guys,

I'm still not clear if the above process would work?

I go get the prepaid sim, and sign up for a bring your own device plan monthly post paid plan at the same time. A month or two passes, and a new device deal hits the markets, can I buy/add a tab to my plan without running into issues with a QC plan in NS?

You’d have to port out and start the whole process over again.

Anyone remember what the promotional offer was for $35? Pretty sure it was 2GB. So the next promotion should start around March? Do they ever have promotions in February?

Best one was $35/3GB...that was the first time it was ever offered last holiday season. I've been following these plans from QC/MB/SK for almost 6 years now.

It should, the $35/2GB for the last almost 1.5 years, been around almost 50% of the year I would say, same with 8GB/$49 and $56/10GB

Oh, hopefully this comes back. I migrated to Telus when $60/10 came and now they are increasing the cost. I dont really need 10GB but 7-8GB woud be nice at $50 price point.

Had a question. I think this should work If I reactivate a SIM (under the 90 day limit for cancelation) back to Koodo ( SIM from A monthly plan I cancelled in December) , and choose a current In market plan, I then can just continue as the rest of the instructions?? Ie. wait to billing period to end, request QC number, wait 24hrs - Port in new number?

Hi all, just want to ask one thing. After I do the last step and port over my number, will that cancel my plan with my old carrier? Will I have to do anything else with my old carrier?

Yes, when you port out, it will be automatically cancelled. Your carrier will send you your final bill of whatever (if anything) is owing on the account/line
