LOL good thing I got my mom on when I did the other day.

June 30 = last day of Q2 = the carriers not being concerned about meeting sales targets. Now's a holding pattern until the back-to-school offers are posted.

Methinks the main brands want to tilt the market away from the flankers for a while, so they've crafted a plan structure that makes the flankers look useless.

wow for once QC no longer has the best plans.

I think we entered a new era with the 75/[email protected] LTE for all major providers.

As long as the speeds are H+ after 10GB, we finally caught up with the world. Albeit the prices is still quite high.

Well yea I was referring to the big 3 (and Koodo data stops after going over).

Basically I believe unless people are light users, the big 3 just killed their subsidiaries with their unlimited $75 plans (fido, koodo, virgin, lucky, chatr, etc).

I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years, they will all disapear if these unlimited plans stick around like in the US/EU/Asia

Currently even the QC Koodo plans are worthless. And before the change, the 6 and 10gb were still making sense at 49 and 56/mth. But the 12 and 14gb at 66 and 76 didn't anymore. (why pay 76 for 14gb when you can get unlimited for 75)

Also the craiglist/kijiji "setupers" are also going to die now with no Koodo cheap plans.

Well, because you're getting 14GB LTE vs 10GB LTE and the rest crappy, for only $1-
and most people will be more than happy with 14Gb.

I have an out of province plan that has a phone number from a different province that I ported in. I have a billing issue costing me just a buck or two a month but I’m hesitant to call as they might see the area code on my phone number doesn’t match the province of my plan. Do they ever call people out on this and make them change plans?

I've been with Virgin for over 6 years now and no issues.
And my wife and kids are on koodo no problems.
    Thank God.

i called in with this same setup last year 2018 and all they did was tell me "hey you must have gotten a promo, that's a good deal to have". They never forced me to change or anything. By law they can't!!!

Anyone tempted by the QC $65/15gb plan now offered by Koodo? I am on $56/10gb and would like some more data but not sure if the switch is worth the hassle or to just bite the bullet and go with a big 3 $75/10unlimited plan.

So your going to pay an extra 10 plus taxes for only 5 more gigs ;/ and the unlimited plans go to a unbearable slow speed after you go over. So there nothing good. Always a catch!!!!!!!

Ppl remember that commercial that made fun of “The Catch”

I ask you; do you have the catch? lol

And that's why I hesitate. Neither one feels quite right. I may just wait and see what happens next.
