I've had this plan for almost 2 months for my iPad, I still have no way to check my usage online. I have been chatting with them on FB for weeks, they have no answers for me.

Go into settings in your iPad. It will show there.

If you do the website way, make sure WiFi is off.

Batcave, no it won't. Believe me I've spent hours and hours with t-mobile online over the last month and a half trying to figure this out. I've tried a dozen different things with no success. It's inexcusable that they can't figure it out.

Interesting that I can see my usage and you cannot. How do they expect you to know what you used? Do you get the 80% or 100% data used text warnings?

The T-Mobile online "My Account" hasn't worked for a couple of weeks for me and some other prepaid users.

Mine stopped working last week. I guess they broke something. I opened a ticket with support so I will see.

I'm not going to get text messages, I'm on a iPad.

Last week I went to a t-mobile store to pay my bill, since I have no other way. I gave them $20 so that I would have 2 more months of my $10/month plan. Well since I waited a couple days adding the money did nothing. I called today, the guy activated it, he said he gave me a credit so that I would have 7GB for the next month. That makes no sense at all. I don't need 7GB for one month. I just want my 2 months @2GB each. Then he told me I wasn't on any kind of plan, but I could buy a data pass?? Going back to the store tomorrow to see if they can straighten this out. Rediculous.

Probably not. But if you are travelling you may be able to buy a SIM card for the country/countries where you will be travelling, such as in Europe.

If all you need the data for is to check emails. Why not count on local Wi-Fi for that, accessed thru a VPN client?

Good luck trying to manage that plan. I gave up on T-Mobile. After months of frustration, I dropped T-Mobile, went to Mint mobile, signed up, have had no problems accessing my account on their website.

You probably have to ask a rep about if you can retain your phone number.

But why not create a new plan/account for the data plan and port your existing number to Google voice or some other free service?
    Wow, this is perfect.

It does slow down to 2G rather than shut off after you reach your plan max.
