Phone is on Verizon, so no WiFi calling on TF.
*#*#4636#*#* menu is not available on a lot of phones. Nice if you have it.

It was activated before mid-2018, but I got a text claiming VoLTe had been provisioned just a few days ago. It is Advanced Calling 1.0.

As mentioned the text doesn't appear to really indicate reprovisioning or VoLTE being enabled.

And I've yet to see a report of Advanced Calling 1.0 devices being able to enable VoLTE/HF Calling on TF.

How do you know which version of Advanced Calling is installed?

I though it said when starting the app.
Or maybe the app version number.

It's been a while. I can try to find the Droid Ultra in have here. My Lg G2 won't boot right now and the Verizon Moto E4 has a dead touchscreen.

What app? Would think Advanced Calling functions are in the network software, and invisible to the user.

Nope. when you try to enable HD Voice it launched an app. That then asks you to login to your MyVerizon account.

Pretty sure the app was listed in settings-apps.

    But not invisible.

I'll try to find a working phone with it.

Something possibly revealing of the Verizon CDMA shutdown relating to MVNOs has been found. It was not clear in the earlier Verizon bulletin whether the dates were only for Verizon customers, or for all users on their network.

This article addresses Straight Talk service, but might it apply to all MVNOs? End is Summer 2020, not end of 2020.

What about phones that were upgraded to 2.0 and ones that came new with 2.0? Was the app just turned off in either case?

Sounds like they're emphasizing getting a new phone. Could be the summer of 2020 is when they'll stop activating/servicing CDMA phones vs the end of 2019 per the Verizon announcement. Not the un-usability of active accounts. Kinda like they all had stopped activation/serving this past summer in anticipation of the 2019 end. Just kinda pushed everything out a year.
    Just a thought.

Don't know. None of my devices got an update.

I'd expect the old app was replaced/updated (like other system apps) to change that functionality.

So the new app would control new features and change how some old features were handled (using OS tools instead?).

So what does all this mean, am I going to need to get a new phone after the first of the year? Will I loose my number and minutes. Both my wife and I have the LG phones.
