H20 - Call voicemail from abroad and from another phone

    Hi,
I’d like to know if there a way for me to acces my H20 voicemail from abroad. I’m currently in France and so my sim card obviously doesnt work. I tried calling a few of the numbers I saw online but none of them worked.

Thank you for any help you can provide me with!

Yes, you should be able to access your voicemails from another phone.

-Dial your H2O number(you will need to add the appropriate international prefixes)
-As soon as the phone answers . . . Press the star(*) button
-Enter your password . . . then press the pound (#) key

This should get you into voicemail

Thank you very much for your response.
Unfortunately, i tried what you said and it didnt work. Pressing the * key had no effect.
All it said was : “the number you are trying to call is not reachable, bps/pps 8165” or some number like that, and then followed by some beeps and the end of the connection.
Is there any other way that might work to your knowledge?

It should work provided you have a phone that works in France and supports international calling.

You could also use Hangouts with a WiFi connection.

Well, I do have a french phone that works internationaly and know it works well as I have called the US multiple times. I’m not sure why hitting * has bo effect.

Do you hear your voicemail greeting when you call? That's when you should press *. If you don't hear the greeting the call isn't connecting to your voicemail for some reason such as a miss-dialed number or the call is being blocked by either AT&T, H2O or your French operator.

If you are calling from a French cell phone, did you dial +1 before the area code? You must include the + sign.

No I do not hear my voicemail when I call. It just says "The number you are trying to call is not reachable". And yes, I did use +1 and/or 001.
The number I dialled was +1 . If anyone is in the US right now, I would really appreciate if you could call this number and let me know if you are able to hear my voicemail.
Thank you all so much for your help.

It sounds like some computer someplace doesn't know about that phone number. I've had a case before where I couldn't call someone who had a newly issued number. I could reach from my cell phone, but not from my cable phone provider. Ended up on tech support, and they had to load some data into a database.
iPhone X is my current primary phone. I have older model iPhones and Moto phones available on other lines. Currently prepaid, though would consider postpaid on right plan.

I just tried calling your number using Hangouts and got the "The number you are trying to call is not reachable" message. That suggests that your H20 service is not active.
