AT&T's CFO, John Stephens: "Today, Cricket has 9 million customers"

AT&T had their earnings call today and this is the first time in quite awhile that they have given a total subscriber number for Cricket. Typically, they combine AT&T prepaid and Cricket customer totals.

The total prepaid phone net add for 1Q 2018 was 192,000

These AT&T execs can make sewage smell sweet. If they'd take a 99% pay cut we could use them in the State Department. Oh wait that'd only be for a short custodial shutdown period.

Yeah but they work hard. And they don't spend their whole day hanging out on Hofo criticizing others like, ahem, some people

This time, honest to peanut butter sandwiches, I was just goofing. This time reading back what I wrote I don't know what I meant.

    But if I entertained great!

MetroPCS has about the same amount of subscribers. All of the Tracphone brands together have 25 million. Shows how much America loves Wal-Mart.

American Movil overall is shrinking. They actually lost 2 Million U.S. subscribers over the last year.

That is good news. Hope they all port to To a carrier held company like Cricket, Metro or Boost. I had Straight Talk in the past when they were one of the only MVNO's you could get AT&T on. Their CS is the absolute worst. I was on Harbor Mobile and they went under leaving me less than 48 hours to port out or loose my number. I feel better when the carrier or their subsidiary has my number.

Metro has around 15M subs. Boost/Virgin have around the same amount as Cricket.

The carriers see no upside in wholesaling their service to MVNOs and would love to have all those MVNO customers move to one of their own brands.
