I hope they keep it going. Some people want the reliability of Verizon service but don't use it alot, maybe just for emergencies so paygo fits their usage pattern.

    That's me.

If PP drops PAYG, will they at least refund my unused account balance?

What about my phone number, will PP give me time to port it?

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't get a refund, but you would be able to switch to another plan or you should have time to port your number.

I wish they would just come forth and say what they plan to do but that would be too easy.

    PAYG Allow LTE Phones Yet?

Nearly one month later now and they are still MIA about it....

The clock is ticking down. Less than a month now.

Hopefully they aren't planning just to ignore it and let whatever ramifications of it occur without a care in the world. Then again we are talking about TracFone who really doesn't care...

Given the cutoff date is less than 30 days away I would of expected some kind of response by now. Probably like everything else tf/pp has done in the recent past, the date will come and pass. Customers will become aware of the change if/when they try to swap phones or activate an account.

Will this incliude ESN Swaps between 3G devices (already activated in PP of course)?

Good question. I recall reading someplace that existing 3g vzw accounts will be permitted. Not sure how this will apply to PP though. We'll all find out soon enough.

    Verizon is sending mixed messages.

It appears that for MVNOs ONLY the deadline has been extended to December 31, 2018

As for Verizon Postpaid and their prepaid brand cutoff of new activations for CDMA-2000 devices will stand.

This thread is about PPC, which is a MVNO. As far as I know, since the deadline was extended, I don't think there have been any conflicting reports about MVNOs, have there?

This is a discussion about activating on PayGo plans, but the larger issue is the total shutdown of CDMA2000 end of 2019, which will also obsolete non-VoLTE phones. So, if you can activate one of these before end of 2018 it is only good for 1 year more.
