    Simple mobile $25/ 3gig plan.

$20 with autopay, limited time until September, but you know these are usually permanent, seems like a solid deal if tmobile works for you. Though I guess Mint's 3-month promo plans still beat it.

Afraid to ask, but how's T-Mo doing these days on the highways and areas between cities?

It's been over a year since I tried them and I was still finding places of 2G on major highways when their map claims "LTE" all over..

I don't trust their coverage maps at all as a result...

I haven't experienced any 2G-only areas with T-Mo on major highways. Of course, that's not to say they don't exist, but I haven't found any.

What phone were/are you using? Did it have LTE Band 12 enabled and functioning?

    Supposedly - iPhone SE
But again - it was over a year ago.

I probably need to give it another try.

Can you enlighten me on what I'd be missing service wise if I tried out a T-Mo MVNO like Simple vs direct w/ T-Mo?

I don't mean all the binge on stuff, etc, but rather just service quality. Do they push all the MVNO's down the priority pole and so data slows to a crawl and/or anything phone call related along the same line?

    Thx!

My only experience with T-Mo MVNOs was with Lycamobile many years ago, and my wife's line was on Ultra Mobile a couple of years ago, and she usually used less than 100MB/mo at that time. But voice service worked well, with no call quality issues. She now uses T-Mo through a business reseller, so she has all of the T-Mo benefits, including the full T-Mo postpaid network.

You would want to check to see if any T-Mo MVNO that you're considering has any coverage outside of the native T-Mo network.

Maybe others could clarify, but the last I knew, most or maybe all T-Mo MVNOs don't include coverage beyond the native T-Mo network.

Yeah - I'm not too hopeful about Simple Mobile..
Despite the bright green color all over my area, a lot of it says:

"SIMPLE Mobile satisfactory service coverage for talk, text and data speed"

Which is very different than wording than:

"SIMPLE Mobile very strong service coverage for talk, text and high speed 3G, 4G and 4G LTE** data speeds"

The "satisfactory service coverage" sure sounds like 2G/EDGE to me
    Yuck.. :-(

I know this thread is about SimpleMobile, but since you're asking about T-Mo MVNOs, and MintSIM was mentioned in the OP, you could test a T-Mo MVNO for $5 for 7 days by getting a MintSIM Starter Kit. https://www.amazon.com/Mint-SIM-Star.../dp/B0786RD524
    • Our Starter Kit is an easy, worry-free way to try Mint SIM out before committing to one of our phone plans
    • For just $5, we’ll send you two SIM cards—download our free Mint SIM app to activate the first SIM and test Mint where you live, work, and play
    • Trial includes 100MB of 4G LTE data, 100 text messages, and 60 minutes of talk—all of which is good for 7 days after activation
    • Once you know we're a match, choose the plan that's right for you and use the second SIM to transfer your current phone number to Mint (or keep your new number with the first)
    • We’ll even credit the $5 back when you purchase any full Mint SIM plan through the Mint app after your trial. Score!

    I thought so too!
I expected a bunch of nebulous BS with no actual information so kudos to him for being so upfront for sure.

I've seen that with T-Mobile. It doesn't seem to affect the use of the phone. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

I don't see the phone # under settings on my unlocked LG Phoenix 2 when I have a postpaid T-Mo SIM card installed.

Are you sure the issue is with Simple Mobile and not with T-Mobile?

Have you checked a T-Mo or a different T-Mo MVNO SIM card in your phone(s) lately?
