Cool Koodo bill credit promo when upgrading phones online: $200/$150/$125 for L/M/S tabs

If you need a new phone, there are some decent promotions for current customers, You need to log into your Koodo account online in order to see the promos. It is $200 in credits for Tab Large plans, $150 for Tab Medium plans, and $125 for Tab Small plans.

    I just got myself a Pixel 2 (64GB) for $145 upfront +$360 on Med tab = $505 ---> $505*1.12(tax may vary) - $150 bill credit = $416 total.

Or if an Essential Phone tickles your fancy, you can get one for $0 upfront + $360*1.12(tax may vary) on Med tab - $150 = $253 total

Nice! earlier in the week they were charging full bore for the Pixel 2, $400 upfront on Tab Large.

Wonder if this has anything to do with Koodo's phone promo?
    freedommobile.ca/plans-and-devices/mobile-devices#category=google

Or maybe it's a way to mitigate the sting of the price hike on plans.

...and a way to nudge people off the never-again, no-tab $60/10GB
...someone overcome by phone lust just might switch to the proffered "Canada-wide $60 plan" (3GB, not specified)
^ in store the 500min plans are bumped up to unlimited - till Mar 12

Anyone ever have any issues getting a phone on the tab while on the Sask 5gb plan? I'm worried about losing it if I get a phone on tab large.

    Thanks

    Doubt it

There were tons of news stories about how poorly Google has done at selling their devices

My guess is more subsidy to try and move more hardware

I bought my PH-1 for $460, and I'm OK with that. I'll just buy my devices. I like my 10 gig plan.

I thought you could upgrade using Tab Medium with that plan.

Anyways, I am super impressed with the Essential phone, how fluid it is, how good it feels and everything about it. LG G6, has a slightly slower process, same RAM and older software I get it, but the Essential is super smooth, especially with the OREO update, stock android software.

They need some work on Camera but I am happy with my main device (iPhone X) for that.

Coming from the G6, ill miss the WiFi Calling on Freedom and the SD Card slot. BUT having thanks to the LG i got bonus 100GB Promo on my Google Drive so that'll come handy now to upload files from my mac to the Essential phone.

Essential is a PREMIUM phone in my opinion and it deserves a chance that it didn't get from most people. Feels way better than the Pixel series.

No, the $60 / 10 gig plan is BYOD only. No tabs allowed.

    Hi All,

I have $55/8GB QC plan and wondering if I could go on a Tab for Essential Phone.

I called Koodo during X-mas and a CSR recognized I have a QC plan in Ontario and he said I can't have a Tab unless I change to an Ontario plan. He was nice enough not to change my plan.

Can I order a phone online and not have my plan change?

I have a $48 MB plan in AB and have gotten three phones with Tab Medium without any problems, most recently last month.
